Charleston has a wealth of dining options for you to enjoy. Here are some that we have personally enjoyed, but there are many more for you to experience.
Peninsula Grill
One of the best upscale restuarants in Charleston. If the weather is good, ask to be seated outside in the courtyard.
Hanks Seafood Restaurant
A popular haunt for locals and tourists alike. Good food and a lively atmosphere are assured.
Circa 1886
A more formal, upscale restuarant for the discerning palate.
Charleston Grill
Great for dining or just to pop in for a nice glass of wine. A jazz trio can often be found here in the evenings.
Anson Restaurant
Very popular and consistent high end establishment.
Fig Restaurant
Good food, good atmosphere, a bar and regular jazz music.
High Cotton
A more typical 'Southern' establishment serving good food with good service. Famous for their souflees and weekend brunch!
S.N.O.B.
Always a winner, this restuarant has consistently good food and service with a bustling atmosphere. You will need to make reservations for dinner, but try your luck as a walk-in for their good value lunches.
Magnolias
A favorite of ours for lunch, but this is also a popular dinner spot with reasonable prices.
Sticky Fingers
Good for the kids and adults alike! Ribs and pulled pork in a family atmosphere location.
Palmetto Cafe (inside Charleston Place)
A swank yet comfortable setting for a great lunch. Absolutely the best She Crab Soup in town in our opinion. The outside courtyard is the place to be in Spring and the Fall, but they will close it down during the Summer when it gets too hot!
